"本計劃擬研製開發具環境永續特質之半導體複合結構，探索其物理現象，開發高效節能、多功能性、環境友善之環境永續光電元件。所研究之項目將包括: 1.探索天然永續性材料的光電物理現象與元件應用，針對生物/礦物天然材料與結構，探索其物理現象，設計與研發光電元件，包括發光元件、雷射、光偵測器、太陽電池與電晶體，開發新穎研究領域。 2.持續研製增強材料的光學、電學效能之方案，透由整合量子點、奈米粒子、奈米線、二維材料等奈米半導體、傳統塊材與天然材料等，探索其物理特性與光電元件應用，開發高效節能之綠能應用。 3.設計與研製包含有機、無機之複合材料，展現耦合、協同的物理特性或多功能性，探索研製具備可調控、可切換之功能，與可拉伸、可撓、可穿戴性質之新穎多功能系統，以及包含具備發光、光伏、光偵測、記憶等多重功能元件應用。" "In this project, we propose to explore the physical phenomena leading to semiconductor hybrid nanostructures with environmental sustainability. Novel semiconductor nanocomposites will be designed, fabricated and characterized to discover new or interesting physical phenomena. Based the newly developed semiconductor nanocomposites with novel physical properties, we plan to devise optoelectronic devices with high performance and multi-functionalities. The main topics of this project are focused on: 1. We plan to explore physical properties and device applications of naturally sustainable materials. With the understandings on the underline physical properties, we will design and fabricate the novel applications including light emitting devices, lasers, photodetectors, solar cells and transistors based on bio/bionic materials. 2. We will continue to investigate the state-of-art schemes to enhance the electrical or optical properties of materials. The semiconductor nanostructures such as quantum dots (QDs), nanoparticles (NPs), nanowires (NWs), two dimensional materials, and bulk materials as well as biomaterials with various specific physical properties, will be integrated to probe novel physical phenomena and to develop energy-efficient, green devices. 3. By integrating inorganic and organic materials, we will pursuit the composite materials exhibiting coupled and synergistic physical properties and multi-functionalities. And consequently, the multiplex-functioned devices with tunable, controllable, switchable functions, and stretchable, flexible, wearable properties will be developed for applications in light-emitting, photovoltaic, photo-detecting, and memory functionalities."
