Description

Abstract
"海洋垃圾對海洋生態系統、人類健康、生活以及經濟產生許多負面影響, 有超過七百種海洋生物受到海洋垃圾影響,而海洋生物攝食塑膠垃圾或受到塑膠 垃圾纏繞之物種數紀錄越來越多,甚至影響瀕危物種的存續。海洋垃圾對人類社 會與經濟帶來不同程度的負面影響,包括在商業性漁撈、航運、海洋休閒活動以 及旅遊等產業。有鑑於台灣對於海洋垃圾的研究甚少,本研究研究目的包括(一) 臺灣海域海漂垃圾調查以及垃圾量推估;(二) 沿近海漁獲物種受海洋垃圾影響 程度調查;(三) 臺灣因海漂垃圾所受之經濟影響評估。本研究將利用(一)以穿 越線法進行海上觀測、(二)漁船船長之海洋垃圾問卷調查以及(三)表層及底層之 水產品胃內容物檢測等三種方式,分季、分區蒐集資料,分析台灣海域垃圾的數 量、組成與分布,是否有區域、物種、季節之差異,進而評估海洋垃圾對於漁業、 航運等各產業可能之直接與間接成本,整體探討海洋垃圾對於台灣海洋環境的影 響,並研擬因應對策,希望減緩海洋垃圾之衝擊。" "Marine debris makes lots impacts on marine ecosystem, human health, and economic. There were more than 700 species recorded to be impacts by marine debris. More and more marine animals digested or entangled by marine plastic debris. In addition, the marine debris also have impacts on human society and economics, including commercial fisheries, transportation, marine recreational activities, and tourism. Considering there is limited related research in Taiwan, the objectives of this research include, (1) survey and estimate the number and types of marine debris in Taiwan coastal waters, (2) the impacts of marine plastic on coastal fisheries species, (3) the evaluation of economic impacts. The methods used in this research include (1) the strip transect method for ocean observance, (2) questionnaire survey of fishing vessel captains, (3) analysis of the stomach contents of pelagic , bottom fish and invertebrate animals. The data will collect and analyzed by season and areas to explore the spatial-temporal characteristics of marine debris. Furthermore, the direct and indirect cost will evaluate for fisheries and other related industries. In summary, this research is designed to overall evaluate the impacts of marine debris on Taiwan marine environment and further draft the mitigation measures to minimize its impacts."
