Description

Abstract
為加強對漁業資源之管理與保護,漁船監控系統 (Vessel monitoring System; VMS)已廣為世界各漁業國及漁業管理組織應用以監控船位及資訊回報。在遠洋漁業方面VMS已用以進行漁船管理多年,近年來我國也開始推動沿近海漁業之漁船裝設VMS。因此,本研究擬分析各國在沿近海漁業之VMS應用實例,並探討利用VMS進行資源量或總可捕獲量推估之可行性。 In order to enhance fisheries management and resource protection, vessel monitoring system (VMS) has been applied for monitoring vessel location and for reporting data by fishery countries and management organizations. VMS has also been adopted for deep-seas fisheries for several years. Recently, Taiwan began to advance VMS for offshore fisheries. Thus we would like to analyze the applications of VMS of other fishery countries and to discuss the feasibility of estimating population size or TAC.
