本研究將針對以下項目進行：(1)針對定置網、鏢刺及刺網漁業從業人員進行鯨鯊誤捕問卷調查；(2)前往定置網量測記錄遭誤捕鯨鯊，進行傳統籤及衛星籤標識放流，並拍照及採取DNA組織；(3)進行遭誤捕鯨鯊之年齡及性別組成分析研究；(4)進行台灣周邊海域鯨鯊洄游分析研究。 The objectives of this study are: (1) investigate incidental catch number of whale sharks caught/observed by set nets, harpoons, and gill nets fishermen by using a questionary; (2) measure, record, photo, and release incidental catch whale sharks with conventional and satellite tags, and collect their DNA tissue samples; (3) analyze age structure and sex ratio of incidental catch whale sharks; and (4) analyze migratory routes of the whale shark in Taiwan waters.
