摘要: This study aims to assess the effectiveness of management strategies in reducing ALDFG, improving fisher compliance, and mitigating marine pollution in Taiwan's coastal regions. Through a questionnaire survey of 248 gillnet fishers, the research examined their perceptions of ALDFG-related policies, including marking regulations, recycling mechanisms, and marine environmental awareness. The results indicate that while 85.8 % fishers support stronger financial incentives for ALDFG recycling, significant discrepancies exist between different fishing groups. In particular, small-scale artisanal sampan fishers showed lower approval rates for these policies. The findings highlight the need for adaptive strategies, improved stakeholder engagement, and enhanced financial incentives to promote compliance and environmental responsibility. These insights provide valuable recommendations for improving ALDFG management and protecting Taiwan's coastal ecosystems.</summary>

摘要: 2D monolayered transition-metal dichalcogenides (TMDCs) are promising materials for realizing ultracompact, low-threshold semiconductor lasers. And the development of the electrical-driven TMDC devices is crucial for enhancing the integration potential of practical optoelectronic systems. However, at the current stage, the electrically-driven 2-D TMDC laser has never been realized. Herein, the first electrically-driven 2-D TMDC microcavity laser have been developed. In this device, an alternating current (AC) generates electroluminescence lasing in suspended monolayered WSe2 integrated on a microdisk cavity. The input-output curve, bandwidth narrowing, and second-order coherence is analyzed to confirm the lasing characteristics at room temperature. The realization of the room-temperature AC-driven 2-D TMDC laser establishes a new area of research on electrically pumped compact lasers and is likely to assist with the implementation of diverse TMDC-based practical photonic devices in the future.</summary>

摘要: This research examines the optimized integration of Bi2Te3-based thermoelectric generators (TEGs) in Ocean Thermal Energy Conversion (OTEC) systems, evaluating their performance via detailed numerical analysis. We conducted finite element simulations using COMSOL Multiphysics to analyze thermoelectric generators (TEGs) placed between a warm surface and cold deep seawater channels under different operational conditions. The research examined parallel and counter flow configurations at Reynolds numbers between 3987 and 73,800, with channel heights varying from 0.002 to 0.072 m. Results indicate that Reynolds numbers above 12,000 ensure stable heat supply to TEGs, resulting in a consistent output power of 3.01 W. The optimal net power of 1.45 W was attained at a channel height of 0.002 m, attributed to reduced pump power consumption. A comparative analysis of Bi2Te3-based material combinations demonstrated that improved electrical and decreased thermal conductivity notably enhanced system performance. This study offers essential insights for improving the design and implementation of TEG-OTEC systems, especially in offshore contexts where operational efficiency and system durability are critical, thereby contributing to the advancement of sustainable ocean energy technologies.</summary>

摘要: In rural elementary schools, improving English as a Foreign Language (EFL) proficiency is challenging due to socioeconomic disadvantages and geographical constraints that limit access to quality teaching methods. This is particularly pronounced among low-achieving EFL students who require remedial support. These learners often face limited opportunities for practice and struggle to improve due to conventional remedial classes that rely heavily on lecture-based instruction and focus on achieving higher scores through written assessments. To address these challenges, augmented reality (AR) offers a novel approach by using 3D visuals to help students better visualize and retain information in English vocabulary and phonics, fostering classroom participation and building language confidence. This study adopted an experiential learning model based on Kolb's four-stage cycle to design an AR-supported experiential learning (AR-EL) environment tailored to the needs of 25 low-achieving EFL students. Quantitative and qualitative data, including pre- and post-tests, questionnaires, and reflective writing, were analyzed. The findings indicated that AR-EL improved students' vocabulary acquisition and retention, enhanced their self-efficacy and motivation, and reduced learning anxiety. Through written reflections, the students shared how AR enhanced their learning experiences, language skill development, competitive learning dynamics, and overall classroom participation compared to conventional remedial classes.</summary>
