dc.description.abstract | Three genera and 13 species of the family Atyidae are reported from Taiwan. Among them, 5 species are new records from Taiwan and 3 are new to science. Most of the species are found in the eastern and southern parts of Taiwan and have numerous small eggs. On the other hand, the species distributed in western Taiwan mostly have few large eggs. In addition to describing the morphological characters of these 13 species, color illustrations and line drawings of each species arc provided. A key is also given for their identification. | en_US |
