According to the world population statistic from United Nations, there are more than 7 billion people in the world, and it is expected that the population is approaching 9.7 billion in 2050. Although the population continues growing, the population growth rate declines. In fact, it is expected that the world's population will almost stop growing by 2100. In Taiwan, we are facing adverse population growth rate and aging issues. Therefore, regional revitalization has received attention in the worldwide. This study attempts to explore key driving forces of regional revitalization in Keelung Badouzi, Taiwan. This study applies social network analysis to explore the key driving forces in the study area. The results show that there are two kinds of key men within the Badouzi regional revitalization including leadership and expertise assistantship, two kinds of key industries as well including food and tourism boat, key groups including tourism industrial promotion association, national museum of marine science & technology, department of economic affairs, Keelung City Government, National Taiwan Ocean University, and fisherman's association, the key activities including beach cleanup, fish fry releasing, oceanic festival, and fish eating lecture. |
