八斗優鱻好魚多

Abstract

北北基海岸間的漁村多以沿近海漁業為生，但因「溫室效應」及「過漁」致使漁業資源枯竭。近年來，因漁具漁法的提升，對環境不友善的漁法，嚴重破壞了海洋生物的棲地，鄰近國立臺灣海洋大學的八斗子漁村亦面臨同樣的衝擊。本計畫研究主題為「八斗優?好魚多」，希望藉由學生進入本校鄰近漁村-八斗子，透過觀察漁村現況，發掘漁民所面臨的困境，冀求利用本門課程所學之專業知能解決八斗子的問題。八斗子漁村內以沿近海捕撈漁獲為主要收益來源，但卻因多數漁民採用扒網的方式捕魚，致使漁獲賣相與賣價不好，漁民捕獲的高CP值的漁獲，例如：鯖魚、竹夾魚等，卻變成下雜魚而販售到罐頭工廠或飼料工廠。因此搭配本校第三年社會責任計畫的執行，本創新模式教學計畫擬透過「社會實踐」與「服務學習」，來檢視透過課程實踐的做中學模式，建立學生對於實踐場域的責任心，並引導其能貢獻自身所學協助地方發展。計畫成果希望協助改善基隆區漁會的魚貨電商平台以增加漁民收益。課程實踐層面上，讓同學習得魚貨經營管理、推廣行銷的實作經驗。進而教導漁民以友善的方式對待海洋，達到海洋資源的永續。 The fishing villages residing in the Taipei- Keelung metropolitan area rely mainly on offshore fisheries for their livelihood, but due to the gradual trends of global climate change and overfishing, the previously abundant fishery resources are slowly being depleted. In addition, recent improvements in fishing gear and the inclusion of environmentally detrimental laws has seriously damaged local marine habitats. The Badouzi fishing village near the National Taiwan Ocean University is one of the villagers being impacted by these circumstances. The research project titled “The Abundance of Exquisite Fishes in Badouzi” seeks to involve the students of National Taiwan Ocean University in solving the issues facing the Badouzi fishing village. Using the professional insights and advances gained through the course to identify and solve these predicaments. The main source of income for the Badouzi fishing village are its fishery resources, but because of the widespread use of dredge fishing, the species that were originally of high value such as the Atlantic mackerel and Japanese horse mackerel, could only be sold at low prices. These fishes are then sold at poor value as course fishes to canneries or feed factories and processed. With the implementation of the third year of the University Social Responsibility (USR), this innovative model seeks to use “Social Practice” and “Service Learning” as a platform for students to learn though hand on experience. The model aims to build the students sense of responsibility and guide them to contribute to the development of local economies. The results of the plan hope to improve the online trade platform of the Keelung Fisheries Association and increase of local fishermen's income. In turn, the local fishermen are guided to treat the ocean in a more eco-friendly manner and achieve sustainability in marine resources. On a practical level for the course, the students will learn to manage and market fish products through hands on experience.
