Abstract:
With increasing interest in the concept of cloud multimedia and the popularization of hand-held devices, users gradually view videos in mobile network streaming mode rather than off-line mode. However, the delays and lags resulted from the instability of a mobile network will greatly degrade streaming quality for users. In cloud multimedia streaming services, when there are multiple optional streaming sources for the same content in the cloud mobile network, the optimal resolution and bit rate cannot be selected for playing, according to the hardware and network status conditions. Therefore, this study designs a dynamic streaming adjustment mechanism for multimedia streaming, which will dynamically adjust the predicted frequency and polling time according to the utilization and stability of the current bandwidth, evaluate the user's streaming quality, hardware specification, and computing power, to decide the appropriate content source for the user, and corrects the overall streaming source sequence to dynamically construct seamless converted play service to effectively upgrade overall streaming quality.
