This study examines public intentions regarding the development of autonomous ferries in Indonesia. The research involved 451 participants who completed an online questionnaire. Using Likert-scale measurements and structural equation modelling, the study applies the extended Theory of Planned Behaviour (TPB) to understand public intent towards autonomous ferry adoption. Perceived knowledge is considered as an extension of the TPB, encompassing attitude, subjective norms, and perceived behavioural control towards the use of autonomous ferries. The findings suggest that perceived knowledge plays a crucial role in shaping attitudes, which subsequently influence the intention to use autonomous ferries. Subjective norms and attitudes were found to have the most significant impact among the TPB constructs. Therefore, policymakers managing autonomous ferry operations should consider the influence of perceived knowledge and develop marketing strategies to enhance public awareness of these technologies.en_US
