中文摘要水利科技發展事關國計民生、自然資源保育及生態環境之維護，國內外均有長久的水利科技演進歷史，近代發展尤其進步快速。我國水利科技發展雖頗具成效，惟在國際交流及新科技之引入時，因水利科技名詞之中譯及英譯問題時有困擾。為與國際接軌，促進國際水利科技交流及進一步提升水利科技水準，應有一致之譯名。本計畫之目的為透過水利相關領域專家學者彙整新近水利科技名詞，研訂中文與英文對照以促進國際交流並提升水利科技水準。 Developments of water-resources technology are important to national economics, natural resources conservation, and ecosystem maintenance. There has been a long history of world-wide evolution of water-resources technology. Although great improvements of water-resources engineering are made in Taiwan, some difficulties are arisen to introduce the latest technology because of translations of water-resources terminology between Chinese and English. In order to promote international communication and further develop water-resources technology, it is necessary to have consistent translations of water-resources terminology. The aim of this project is to construct a Chinese-English synopsis of new water-resources terminology through a task force of water-resources specialists.
