Abstract
The new sports tourism industry, which is a combination of marine sports and tourism, is now a development trend. The Sports Administration, Ministry of Education initiated a three-year marine sports development program in 2016. It is obvious that as marine sports tourism has gradually become a new economy, it requires more complete local development tactics as supports. The different positions of the industry, the academic circle, and government agencies and their dependent relationships are also the key issues which this study aims to focus on. Therefore, this study expects to explore the interactions in the local environment where the marine sports tourism develops and find out the relationship model or rules which different development groups base on to reflect the local social structure of marine sports tourism. The purpose of this study is to discover the features of local social networks of marine sports tourism and the associations of the local industry through literature review, analyses of secondary data collected from the internet, in-depth interviews, content analysis, Delphi method, and focus group method, in order to improve the diversity of applications of social network management in the local development of marine sports tourism. The plan for the first year is to use Dapeng Bay, the demonstration site of the idea of blue economy development, with the feature of being “the only one”, as the research field (2016~2017). The research field for the second year is the big Taiwan series of the overall development project of marine sports (2017~2019). The plan for the third year is to, through the Delphi method and focus group interviews, review the social network development tactics of the overall marine development project in the planned development areas from the perspectives of the industry, the government, and the academic circle, to provide cross-field (the industry, the government, and the academic circle) professional opinion evaluations and suggestions, so for the purpose of social network management strategy development and management for marine sports tourism in Taiwan."
