Abstract
潛艦管路比商船更多樣且複雜,加上容納空間更小讓管路設計工作變得困難。為此,本計畫提出創新且大膽的概念以翻轉潛艦管路設計:研發潛艦油管組裝之虛擬實境(virtual reality)多人系統。在設計階段,工程師要確保所設計的管路佈置能讓製造時不會發生管路干涉問題。這樣的確認工作,讓工程師費心費時,單靠二維設計圖去想像三維佈置空間佈置,遑論多種管路之間的彼此協調。因此提出本計畫有效協助工程師不需依靠想像就可檢視設計成果並可多人協同討論。由於時間有限,本計畫選擇油管管路設計為對象,透過虛擬實境(virtual reality)技術,且連線遠端資料庫,讓所設計管路佈置自動呈現;除了可讓使用者在此虛擬艙區空間、檢視管路佈置,並且,這些佈置的管路可依序在虛擬空間逐步呈現,以表現組裝程序。由於是多人系統,此虛擬實境系統可允許多人同時在同一虛擬場景彼此討論。本計畫擬採Unity3D建構虛擬艙區空間,使用者應用HTC 無線頭罩式顯示器檢視管路佈置,並且可互相討論,遠端必須搭一台伺服器,安裝資料庫管理系統和多人連線軟體。本計畫因執行期只有一年,只能先全力放在伺服器架設、資料庫規劃及建置、虛擬模型建立、虛擬實境相關功能研發。 Piping design of submarine is much complex then the work of merchant ships. In a submarine, small space contains various pipelines. Such design work becomes difficult in order to ensure not only no interference between these pipelines but also feasibility of assembly. Virtual reality (VR) technology can save the time and energy of engineers to imagine a 3D space full of pipelines only based on a 2D drawing. An innovative concept is proposed: the development of multiple-user VR system for oil-piping assembly. The reason is because a submarine has more kinds of piping and much smaller space to contain them. During design stage, engineers have to make sure the designed piping be constructed without interference. It takes much working time to image the 3D space of one piping based on a 2D drawing, not to mention the interfering problem happened between different types of piping. The project is therefore proposed which can help engineers to check their designing results by themselves and cooperatively discussed without any imagination. Due to the limitation of one year only, the proposal targets the oil-piping of submarine to develop a VR system that accesses piping data from a remote database server and demonstrate the piping design automatically. Such system allows multiple users browse the same virtual environment and discusses freely. Also, itt can sequentially assembly the designed a piping system one segment by one segment and then one piping system by one piping system. Such function virtually demonstrates how the piping systems can be constructed. By the system, engineers can check whether any problems exist and fail the construction of various pipelines. The development uses Unity3D to build virtual environment and facilities. Users uses HTC wireless headset to browse whole virtual environment. A remote server is setup with a database management system and a multiple-user connection system. The project focuses on a server setup, the planning and constructing of a piping database, building virtual models and environments and developing relative functions for the virtual system.
