Description

Abstract
本研究擬以五年時間針對台灣沿近海主要之鯊魚種類利用預警法進行研究,藉由各種不同的參考點(reference point)來評估資源的現況,同時利用電腦模擬的方法找出適正的漁獲努力使資源能免於枯竭.研究目標: (1) 蒐集南方澳、成功及東港鯊魚魚種別漁獲量資料. (2) 以標本船填報,進出港資料蒐集及漁撈日誌抄錄等方式蒐集努力量資料. (3) 嘗試對主要且生物學資料完整之一種魚種進行其資源評估並訂出不同之參考點,作為管理之依據. (4) 提出我國之鯊魚行動計畫(NPOA-sharks).重要工作項目: (一) 漁獲量蒐集:繼續蒐集蘇澳、成功等地鯊魚漁獲量資料,同時針對東港進行魚種別漁獲資料之蒐集,此外生物資料包括體重、體長、脊椎骨、胃內容物,生殖腺等也一併蒐集. (二) 努力量資料蒐集:努力量之調查擬以多種方法同時進行,包括請標本船填報(目前已實施中),進出港資料之蒐集及至代理行真接抄錄漁撈日誌等.同時配合實際訪問漁民瞭解其作業型態、漁場等,期能獲得完整的努力量資料. (三) 資料分析:針對常見且漁業生物學資料齊全的鯊魚種類進行其資源評估,例如以單位加入漁獲量或單位加入親魚量,年級群解析法等評估目前該魚種之資源利用現況,並依此訂出不同的參考點及生物的臨界點(biological critical point)做為資源管理之依據. (四) 蒐集、整理過去國內所有鯊魚相關研究並提出我國之鯊魚行動計畫(NPOA-sharks).預期效益:經五年之研究,預期可達成以下成果: (1) 掌握台灣沿近海鯊魚魚種別漁獲量. (2) 瞭解鯊魚漁業之活動實況包括漁場、努力量、季節性變化. (3) 完成主要鯊魚種類之資源評估及預警參考點之建立. (4) 提出台灣鯊魚漁業管理之建議.This study plans to assess the stock status of dominant shark species in the coastal and offshore waters off Taiwan and to estimate the reference points for the fishery with a precautionary approach in five years. Objectives: (1) Collection of shark catch data at Nanfanao, Chengkung, and Tongkang fishing ports. (2) Collection of shark fishery fishing effort. (3) Conducting stock assessment of dominant species. (4) Propose national plan of action-sharks. Procedures and Methods: (1) Collection of catch data: species-specific shark catch data at Nanfanao, Chengkung, and Tongkang fishing ports will be collected. Biological information including sex, weight, length, and stomach contents will also be recorded and vertebrates and gonads will be taken and preserved. (2) Fishing effect data collection: fishing effort will be estimated from logbook records, inspection records of fishing, and sampling vessel records. (3) Data analysis: Dominant species which biological information is known will chosen to conduct the stock assessment and biological reference points will be estimated. (4) Collecting shark related publications and Propose national plan of action-sharks.
Expected results. The following results will be achieved after the completion of this five-year project: (1) Establishing shark catch data base. (2) Shark fishery activities including fishing grounds, fishing effort, and temporal and spatial variation will be understood. (3) Stock assessment and precautionary reference points of dominant shark species will be examined and proposed. (4) Precautionary shark fishery management plan will be proposed.
