"根據終端設備的能力與使用者的感知偏好來調適數位內容(Digital Item Adaptation (DIA))為達成普及多媒體經驗(universal multimedia experience)的一個重要步驟。由於小型可攜式裝置的硬體能力的限制，用小型可攜式裝置來展現高品質影像是一項非常有挑戰性的工作。在本三年子計畫裡，我們將研究在MPEG-21 DIA 的架構下，發展智慧地調適影像的動態範圍與解析度的引擎。尤其，我們將研究如何根據裝置的特性與使用者感知偏好作最佳調適。第一年，我們將研究根據視覺注視模型之影像解析度調適。第二年，我們將討論根據視覺注視模型之影像動態範圍調適。第三年，我們將研究根據個製化視覺注視模型之影像解析度與動態範圍調適。同時，也將與其它子題所發展的系統在 MPEG-21 DIA 架構下進行整合。"
