Description

Abstract
使用者透過智慧型手機取用各種類型之行動應用程式(mobile application,簡稱mobile app 或app)已成為目前主流的軟體遞送模式,在行動應用蓬勃發展的今日,如何協助使用者從龐 大數量的app中找出符合其需求的app,成為一個相當重要的議題。此外,如何達成個人化 app的管理以及如何提供有效的app推薦機制亦是目前被關注的重要研究方向。因此,本研究 計晝提出一套以服務品質(Quality of Service, QoS)為基礎之app搜尋與推薦方法,稱之為 QAMASR (QoS-Aware Mobile App Search and Recommendation),主要分為三個機制:(1)以服 務品質為基礎的應用程式搜尋機制(QoS-Aware App Search):透過兩個客觀的QoS指標:app 之普遍性(popularity)與app之可信任度(reputation),對於應用程式搜尋結果進行重新排序;(2) 基於樹狀結構的應用程式管理機制(Tree-Based App Management);透過樹狀階層式的目錄結構 以及標籤功能讓使用者便利地管理與使用個人的app ;以及(3)事件驅動的應用程式推薦機制 (Event-Driven App Recommendation):根據使用者在app使用過程中的不同操作事件,如啟動 app、更新app、移除app,提供不同性質的app推薦清單,讓使用者可便利地取得可能感興趣 的app。本計晝亦規劃開發雛形系統以展示本研究方法之可行性與實用性,同時也設計了量化 實驗,以驗證本研究提出之應用程式搜尋與推薦方法的有效性與效率。"With the emergence of the huge number of mobile applications (apps) and their increasing growth rate, how to appropriately locate apps to fit the user’s demands is becoming a critical challenge. Although existing mobile app search engines provide basic search functionalities to let users find relevant mobile apps by issuing query keywords, the ranking of search results cannot fully satisfy user’s expectations. Besides, how to provide useful personal app management functionality and how to furnish effective app recommendation mechanism are also important research issues. Therefore, we propose an approach, called QoS (Quality of Service)-Aware Mobile Application Search and Recommendation (QAMASR), to address above issues. QAMASR mainly provides three mechanisms: (1) QoS-aware app search; (2) tree-based app management; and (3) event-driven app recommendation. QoS-aware app search is an objective ranking method for sorting app search results by considering the proposed QoS indicators, popularity and reputation. Tree-based app management utilizes the hierarchical app tree and tag annotation to ease the management and the usage of interested apps. Event-driven app recommendation can suggest appropriate apps based on different events, such as app initiation, app update, and app removal. In addition, we also plan to develop a prototype for demonstrating the feasibility of the proposed approach, and conduct experiments for verifying that the proposed approach can effectively and efficiently locate and recommend apps."
