Description

Abstract
"This project proposes the multi-activity SBM-DNDEA model that combines the multi-activity DEA and SBM-DNDEA models to assess the performance among the production process, consumption process and overall operation for every period, using a case study in the Taiwanese bus transit industry. The framework of multi-activity SBM-DNDEA model is constructed by the operational characteristics of bus transit firms. The main advantages of this model are that the linkage between activities or processes, these shared inputs among activities or processes, and the effects of carry-over activities are included in this model so as to provide more appropriate measures of performance. Furthermore, more information on operational performance can be provided to operators and decision makers to improve the efficiency in the Taiwannes bus transit industry or set up relational policies."
