旅館業在整體旅遊業扮演重要的角色，然高度競爭的市場使各旅館需提高绩效以增加競爭力，因而绩效測量對旅館管理者而言愈趨重要。此外，投入或產出的替代關係可提供管理者在生產計晝選擇上的相關資訊，因此邊際轉換率與邊際技術替代率亦為管理者所關心的議題。本研究首先提出一種方法用以同時探討旅館的绩效及邊際轉換率與邊際技術替代率，然而旅館服務的生產與消費是同時發生的，因此在衡量旅館绩效時需區分為生產绩效與服務绩效，在此概念下，本研究進一步建立一個網路模型以衡量旅館的绩效及邊際轉換率與邊際技術替代率。為建構合理衡量方法，本研究於第一年應用產出導向的共同邊界資料包絡分析法評估旅館效率與描繪產出間的邊際轉換率關係；第二年在考量旅館服務的特性下，提出一個網路共同邊界資料包絡分析法用以評估生產效率、服務效率與經營效率，並探討產出間的邊際轉換率關係與投入間的邊際技術替代率關係；在第三年，本研究擴展第二年的方法提出一個網路共同邊界Malmquist生產力指數，用以衡量旅館生產力的變化，並在分解生產力上加入偏向技術變化的影響。預期本計晝的結果將提供台灣國際觀光旅館經營者於經營绩效與生產計晝選擇的相關資訊。"The hotel industry plays an important role in the tourism industry. The hotel industry provides many of services demanded by tourists. However, since a rapid increase in the number of international tourist hotels has led to a highly competitive environment, individual hotels need to increase their performance to maintain competitiveness. The performance measurement is more and more important for hotel managers. In addition, trade-offs between inputs or outputs in the production process can provide information to help analysts and managers make the choices between alternative production plans. Hence, the marginal rate of transformation among outputs and marginal rate of technical substitution among inputs should be investigated. This project first offers a method to simultaneously explore the efficiency and marginal rate of transformation of international tourist hotels. However, hotel services are usually produced and consumed concurrently. When hotel performance is evaluated, it is reasonable to divide operational performance into production performance and service performance. Furthermore, this project builds a network model, which considers the internal structure of a hotel, to investigate the problems of performance and marginal rates in the international tourist hotel industry. In order to construct appropriate approaches to evaluate the performance and marginal rates of hotels, this project applies an output-oriented meta-frontier DEA method to measure hotel efficiency and describe the marginal rate of transformation among outputs in the first year. In the second year, to consider the internal structure of a hotel, we propose a network meta-frontier DEA model which combines the network DEA and the meta-frontier approach to evaluate the production efficiency, service efficiency and operational efficiency and explore the marginal rate of transformation among outputs and marginal rate of technical substitution among inputs. In the third year, to understand the trend in performance within a hotel, we further extend the model proposed in the second year project to propose a network meta-Malmquist productivity index. We apply the proposed model to measure and decompose productivity for hotels. In addition the effect of biased technological change in the decomposition of the network meta-Malmquist productivity index is taken into account. The results may provide valuable information on performance and the choices of production plans for managers of international tourist hotels in Taiwan. "
