"近年來，由於全球化的爭議、國際環保意識高漲，以及綠色消費觀念的興起，使得永續發展(Sustainable Development) 的議題受到各國及各產業的高度重視，而定期貨櫃船公司也不例外。本研究計畫目的在(1)分別從政府部門、定期貨櫃船公司、與學者專家的觀點，試圖建立定期貨櫃船公司永續發展的指標。; (2) 根據第一年研究的指標，從業者(定期貨櫃船公司)的觀點，來探討永續發展指標與績效的關聯性。在方法上，本研究將應用因素分析與層級分析法(AHP)萃取出主要的永續發展指標與構面，再利用結構方程模式 (SEM)的分析方法探討永續發展構面與企業績效間之因果關係。本研究結果將可提供給業者或政府等相關單位制定定期貨櫃船公司永績發展政策的參考。"
"This research aims to develop the crucial indicators of sustainable development in liner shipping company from the viewpoints of government, shipping managers and experts. In addition, this research would like to evaluate the effects of sustainable development dimensions on business performance. The key sustainable development indicators will be identified based on factor analysis and analytic hierarchy process (AHP), whereas the impact of sustainable development dimensions on business performance will be conducted by the approach of structural equation modeling (SEM). The results of the research will be useful for government to assess sustainable development and shipping manager to improve their sustainable development or corporate social responsibility strategy. Theoretical and practical implications of the research findings will be discussed."
