"台灣的國際港埠，無論是在基隆、台中、台北或高雄港而言，均有增加的趨勢。如此大量的貨櫃在碼頭實施裝卸、運輸、維修等具高危險性作業，極易因船舶設備、裝卸機具及作業管理不良等因素，而發生重大職業災害，造成勞工重大傷亡，進而停工調查，對於勞工家庭、貨櫃碼頭裝卸業者、貨櫃船公司及政府，均會造成很大的影響，也不是社會大眾所樂見。因此，如何降低貨櫃碼頭裝卸者的勞工傷亡事件為本研究重要的研究動機。本研究擬採用安全氣候的角度來降低職災。以問卷調查的方式針對台灣四個國際港口的20 個貨櫃碼頭的裝卸員工來做調查，來驗證安全領導、安全氣候及安全績效的模式。期望結果可以提供業者、台灣港務公司，及政府有關單位參考。"
"This study empirically examined the relationship among safety leadership, safety climate, and safety performance in Taiwan International Port’s container stevedoring operations using the structural equation model (SEM) technique. The results of the research will be useful for container stevedoring operations to improve their management strategy for getting better safety performance. Theoretical and practical implications of the research findings will be discussed."
