Description

Abstract
根據衛福部2017年統計,糖尿病高居國人死亡率第五位,但如果加上其相關併發症(心臟病、腦中風),糖尿病及其相關疾病可能高居國人死亡率第一位,對國人的健康影響相當大。石花菜是台灣盛產的海藻,大部分產於北部與東北角海岸,屬於安曼司石花菜(Gelidium amansii)。石花菜含有許多水溶性纖維,已有超過 350 年的食用歷史。我們曾提出報告指出,安曼司石花菜可以顯著降低血液胰島素濃度、總膽固醇濃度、三酸甘油酯濃度及改善胰島素抗性,顯示省產石花菜有助於調節脂質代謝與糖代謝。我們進一步將安曼司石花菜用熱水萃取,結果發現安曼司石花菜熱水萃物具有降血脂、抗發炎及抗肥胖功能。在糖代謝方面,雖然已有人體及動物試驗報告指出,安曼司石花菜可以顯著降低血液胰島素濃度及改善胰島素抗性,但是安曼司石花菜熱水萃物對糖代謝影響的機制至今尚未清楚。因此我們計畫利用兩種糖尿病動物模式來探討石花菜的熱水萃取物對糖代謝影響的機制,期待釐清石花菜的熱水萃取物對影響血糖之機制。第一年: 探討石花菜的熱水萃取物對第2型糖尿病動物血糖影響之機制。第二年: 探討石花菜的熱水萃取物對第1型糖尿病動物血糖影響之機制。 According to the statistics of the Department of Health and Welfare in 2017, diabetes ranks the fifth in the national mortality rate, but if combined with its related complications (heart disease, stroke), diabetes and related diseases may be the highest in the national mortality rate. It has been a considerable impact on the health of people in Taiwan. Gelidium amansii (GA) is an edible red algae rich in dietary fiber, which is widely distributed in northeast Taiwan. It has been shown that GA possesses hypoglycemic and hypolipidemic effects in diabetic rats and patients. We have reported that GA hot-water extracts (GHE) may ameliorate lipid metabolism in hamsters. However, the effect of GHE on glucose metabolism still remains further investigated. Therefore, we plan to explore the mechanism of the effect of hot water extract of GHE on glucose metabolism by using two animal models of diabetes. It is expected to clarify the mechanism of the effect of GHE on blood glucose. First year: To investigate the effect of GHE on blood glucose in type 2 diabetic animals. Year 2: To investigate the effect of GHE on blood glucose in type 1 diabetic animals.
