Description

Abstract
為因應國內迫切的不可燃漁業廢棄物處置問題,達到無害化、減容、安定化及回收再利用的處理原則,本研究計畫係針對不可燃漁業廢棄物(包含不可燃之FRP廢船體、廢棄魚網和塑膠或寶麗龍製品等)做系列之極高溫電漿(Thermal Plasma)處理,使之減容、無害化,成為極低濾出率、安定的玻璃體熔岩(Vitrified slag),並求得最佳之玻璃化配比、探討玻璃體熔岩之各項性質及對環境之影響.期使本計畫之成果能對電漿處理不可燃漁業廢棄物有所助益與瞭解,進而減緩或消除漁業廢棄物對台灣環境的威脅,同時並達到建立自主性電漿處理技術的目的.[註:高溫電漿乃為高度離子化的高溫氣體(Highly Ionized Gas),但是因為它的一些性質與氣體截然不同,故有人稱之為物質的「第四態」以做為區分. Development of suitable disposal methods for treating non-combustible fishery wastes (including FRP, abandoned fishnets and plastics) is very important. Treating of these wastes into the vitrified state is suggested as it is the preferred waste form for final disposals of many hazardous wastes. For vitrification, the plasma treatment is employed in which it uses heat generated from plasma to treat hazardous waste containing metals, polymer and/or organic at temperatures in a range of 1400 to 1600 ℃. Metal-bearing solids and soil are melted by the process, organic and polymer contaminants are thermally destroyed. Thus, plasma is able to yield non-combustible fishery wastes into vitrified slag. The molten material forms a hard, glass-like, leach-resistant monolithic mass after cooling, which can be disposed accordingly without any further treatments. Based on EDO (Experimental Design Optimizer), extensive trial burns for different fishery waste surrogates in three or more forms will be carried out in this fiscal year of 2003. Treated products will then be evaluated for long-term chemical duration and stability properties such as leachability. In the second fiscal year of 2004, MC (Multi-Correlation) program will be executed to optimize the feedstock compositions. Results obtained are expected to be useful for establishing a regional plasma treatment facility for non-combustible fishery wastes.
