基於淡水鰻魚資源日益枯竭之原因，本案啟動對於淡水鰻魚資源調查的專項計劃，預期共以四年為期，在臺灣的南北東西部等與離島的各代表水系之鰻魚資源調查與評估，來提供產業之原生資源保育之參考。本年度(2013年)工作重點如下：(1) 選擇臺灣北部的蘭陽溪等流域，進行魚類資源現勘與棲地示範復育規畫之重點溪流。瞭解水域棲地與河川特性。(2) 瞭解臺灣北部的幼鰻與成鰻偏好的主要溪河水域棲地與海拔特性為何。(3) 瞭解臺灣北部的溪流，各主要原生鰻魚族群與棲地復育之關鍵水域環境限制因子為何。研擬規劃改善的因應配合措施。 (4) 瞭解臺灣北部的溪流，鰻魚因受人為棲地干擾，水體污染與築壩破壞溯游生活史的限制洄游路徑等等因子，列出待改善的未來因應之規劃。 (5) 研究分析出臺灣北部的蘭陽溪等流域的棲地復育與鰻魚資源特性與比例推估。藉由本計劃的執行，以研究的科學依據來進行相關魚種保育措施，以確保其自然生態資源，都能夠在這塊土地上永續地生生不息。 Based on the distinct decline of native population of freshwater eels, the survey project for freshwater eel resources started the current important special programs. The 4 year program will survey and evaluate the freshwater eel resources in Taiwan and will also provide important and solid scientific data for consideration of fish conservation issue. The main task of first year (2013) would be: ( 1 ) Select Lanyan River basin in northern Taiwan and other watershed for freshwater eel resources to investigate the sampling sites and habitat restoration planning demonstration of the key main basins. Revealing the characteristics of the river habitats. ( 2 ) Revealing the preferred habitats of elvers and adult eels in Northern Taiwan. ( 3 ) Revealing the population status of native eels and habitat restoration of the key limiting factor of the aquatic environment in northern Taiwan. Develop plans for improvement of environmental factors. ( 4 ) Understanding the impact of human disturbance, water pollution, dam construction to restrict and block the eel migration of northern Taiwan streams. Find out the planning of clue for improvement of original habitats. ( 5 ) Analyzing river habitat status, characteristics of eel resources, component of current eels. Ensure the sustainably prosperous for freshwater eel native resources in northern Taiwan.
