Description

Abstract
印度與台灣兩個熱帶紅樹林溼地之中型浮游動物的族群動態變化與環境 效應:生態系指標物之探索 本研究之目的在於瞭解印度與台灣沿岸區域環境變化之中型浮游動物的多樣性變動之 反應,知道中型浮游動物目前的狀態,近期和未來的威脅,以及由於全球氣候變化與人 類活動的衝擊,並探討保育的方法。這個雙邊的合作計畫進行的規劃將著眼於以下幾個 核心重點:(i)收集所有中型浮游動物物種的多樣性與種類之基礎資訊以用來監測預期 其變化。由於非常多樣的生物群落生境與環境,這兩個多樣的熱帶區域可以展現幾近於 大陸沿岸之高度的生物多樣性。(ii)探索中型浮游動物多樣性及環境/氣候變化的關連, 以及浮游動物對於海洋環境變化之間的互動。(iii)檢測兩個濕地生態系的變化,提供生 態後續潛在演變之方向,並幫助決策者決定如何管理此生態系。Title of the project: Mesozooplankton population dynamics as a response to environmental changes of two tropical mangrove wetlands in India and Taiwan: An approach to ecosystem indicator The project intends to study the diversity of mesozooplankton as a response to environmental changes in coastal zones of India and Taiwan, its modern status, threats, recent and future modifications due to global climate changes and human impact and ways of its conservation. the collaborative project has been considered with the following objectives: (i) to collect information about overall species diversity and to compile species lists of mesozooplankton as a basis for monitoring of expected changes. These two diverse tropical zones can exhibit the highest level of biodiversity near mainland coast due to very diverse biotopes and environments, (ii) to explore the insights regarding the relationship between mesozooplankton diversity and environmental/climate changes as well as zooplankton response to changes in the marine environment, and (iii) to detect the conspicuous changes in two wetland ecosystems, provide insights to the potential ecological consequences of the change, and help decision makers determine how management practices should be implemented.
