Description

Abstract
將台灣建設成「永續發展的海洋國家」是國內海洋學界責無旁貸的使命。為達此目的,海科中心基隆分部將結合海研二號貴儀中心,提供岩心庫資料、海底地震資料與衛星影像資料庫之建立與服務工作,以及海洋研究船運作與協調工作。在衛星影像服務方面,除維持系統正常運作外,已陸續建置1998年至2004年間之水溫影像及水色影像資料,並將延遲模組轉化為實時間水色模組,以利海洋科學研究人員使用;同時也將進行MODIS衛星資料之接收與分析。岩心庫方面,則係考量利用海洋研究船於海域所探取的岩心為研究我國鄰近海域與其它大洋之沈積學、微體古生物學、古海洋學、岩石學、地球化學、地球物理學、古地磁學和物理性質的基礎材料。為使我國海洋學者於參與國際合作或國科會整合型計畫所探取之岩心能夠受到有系統之維護與管理,同時並能為駐岸研究者建立便利之相關研究環境而提供之服務。目前則已完成IMAGES 2001 年航次於西太平洋所探取之十五支岩心與ODP 1202駐岸研究岩心樣本登錄、整理、與儲存工作;目前正開放接受各界申請採樣。並與學界保持密切連繫,隨時注意國內外正進行中岩心取樣相關研究計畫,以建立具研究價值之岩心樣本儲存管道。海底地震儀實驗室則進行新型MicrOBS的訓練、整合、和使用手冊的撰寫,並積極參加大型整合型計畫。在資料分析方面,我們的團隊已評估過各項分析軟體,進行資料整合及進入海科中心615資料庫。 Under the auspices of NSC, the keeling branch will conduct three sub-projects, include the Marine Remote Sensing Lab, the Core Repository Lab, and the Ocean Bottom Seismometer Lab. The first work was tried to complete the archived and distributed techniques with the valued products and to maintain the satellite receiving station for sea surface temperature and SeaWiFS ocean color raw data, and finally to set up a linkage with the remote sensing service center of NCOR. The Sea Surface Temperature (SST) and Chl-a imageries were also analyzed by using the algorithm conducted from NASA. Until now, those SST (over 6000 passes) and Chl-a (over 2000 passes) satellite imageries obtained by HRPT remote sensing system from 1998 to 2004, were posted on the web site http//duck2.oc.ntu.edu.tw/ . According to the capacity of GIS computer on satellite data, this study will try to establish and integrate a studied geographic information system with remote sensing digital data for supporting the application of ocean science or other aids in future. NCOR Core Repository and Laboratory, located at the National Taiwan Ocean University Keelung, houses sediment cores of the international research programs ODP (Ocean Drilling Program) and IMAGES (International Marine Past Global Changes Study). The former was to complete the registration, preservation and storage of the sediment cores. The Core Repository and Laboratory now is open for sample requests of the national and international scientific community for investigations in the fields of Sedimentology, Micropaleontology, Paleoceanography, Petrology, Geochemistry, Paleogeomagnetics. In addition, the NCOR Core Repository and Laboratory will also provide sampling assistance. In the new phase, the Core Repository will archieve the cores from R/V Ocean Research No.1, 2, and 3, The Ocean Bottom Seismometer(OBS) Lab. is a new established Lab. To collect, analysis, distribute and manage all matters relate to the operations of OBS. We have planned to participate the OBS-related projects, review the processing and analysis software. In the future, we will submit the OBS data in to the NCOR’s GIS Data bank.
