本計畫擬針對我國在南太平洋區重要之鮪漁業漁獲魚種長鰭鮪，進行其歷史作業報表logbook及体長資料的檢視與分析，了解其時空分佈，並分離「不同標的」長鰭鮪船作業船隻，了解作業動態及年間變動，並進而求取本種具代表性之歷史漁獲CPUE序列。也將探討漁獲與體長分布及衛星水文環境資料之關聯，並配合觀察員暨小釣資料相互映證，以了解資料庫之一致性，暨環境因子對我國南太平洋長鰭鮪不同海區漁獲體長大小分佈之變動與漁獲率之影響。 This research aimed to examine the historical catch statistics and length data of the albacore tuna caught by Taiwanese tuna longliners operate in the South Pacific Ocean. The spatial and temporal distribution patterns of these data, and the non-albacore targeting efforts will be examined and separated for understanding the annual variations of fishing patterns of this fleet. A more representative time series for historical CPUE will be obtained. In addition, relationships among environmental data, catch and size distribution patterns also will be investigated, in conjunction with data obtained from observers and small tuna long-liners from different geographical areas. These data will be cross-checked for understanding the consistence of different database, and for further explore the influences of environmental factors on fluctuations of CPUE and size distribution of south Pacific albacore in different geographical areas.
