Abstract
"利用一個三維數值模式POM (Princeton Ocean Model)研究淡水河水舌。淡水河位於台灣本島北 部,是全省第二大河川,其包含三個支流:新店溪、大漢溪、及基隆河。近年來,許多計劃執行研究 淡水河水質惡化、污染的問題。 先前的研究顯示,數值模式的結果與實際觀測結果有相當性的符合。例如,有一股密度較輕、鹽 度較低的水團在河口附近形成。此水舌的結構受潮沙很大的影響,隨著潮沙的漲潮、退潮而在河口來 回擺動。此外,模式結果顯示在滿潮或干潮時,在岬角的後方會有渦流的產生,這是因為受海岸摩擦 力的結果。 本研究計晝的主要目的在於利用數值模式,來探討淡水河水舌的形成與時間進化情形,水舌與潮 汐的互相作用過程,以及預測河流注入海洋的懸浮物質的路徑及分布情形。期望特別針對以下幾個問 題尋求解答:(1)河水與海水混合的過程為何? (2)潮汐所引發的殘餘流為何? (3)懸浮顆粒在空間與時 間上的分布情形為何? (4)不同流量的河水注入,對於淡水河水舌的分布有何改變? (5)台北港的興建對 於此近海海域的流況有何影響?" "A three-dimensional estuarine and coastal ocean circulation model, POM (Princeton Ocean Model), is applied to the study of the Danshuei river plume. The Danshuei River, located in the northern island, is the second largest estuary in Taiwan. It includes three tributaries: Hsin-Dien, Dai-Han and Keelung Rivers. Recently, many studies have been conducted on water quality of the Danshuei River because of serious river pollution problems, in which amount of sewage have been discharged from Taipei City for years. Previous studies showed that the model result is in a good agreement with observations. A bulge forms near the river mouth. The river plume is significantly modulated by tides, in which the brackish water is moved back and forth by tides. Also, the model indicates that the model indicates that a shading-eddy is generated behind a headland at the slack high water. The objective of this study is to study the formulation and evolution of the Danshuei River plume and its modulation with tides and prediction of the pathways of river-borne suspended materials on the shelf by means of an existing numerical model. Especially, we will search the answers for the following questions: (1) What are the mixing processes between riverine and oceanic waters? (2) What is the tide-induced residual current over the shelf? (3) What are the spatial and temporal distributions of river-borne suspended particles? (4) How is the Danshuei River plume affected by different river inflow? (5) What are the model-predicted circulation patterns in the coastal region with/without the Taipei Port?"
