Description

Abstract
"台灣淺灘周邊水域隨季節推移帶來不同水系及生物資源,而在全球變遷效應下,研究海域內的湧昇區勢力強弱改變及周邊環境變遷趨勢有賴於長期且定期的觀測資料。本計劃目標為研究海域內環境包容力與海洋生物組成及豐度變化特性,除了解析氣候變遷下海洋環境變化對研究海域水族動態的影響,更是研究與串連微生物循環及攝食食物鏈間的環節,可提供海洋生態系動態模式進行建立所需之攝食能階參數及食物網模式參數之評估。故本計畫主要研究目的有三:(1) 利用垂直結構泛生產力等模式演算台灣淺灘週邊海域日別高空間解析度之基礎生產力,並將模式演算結果與日別現場船測及NASA Ocean Productivity基礎生產力資料進行基礎生產力模型效能評估之研究。(2) 分析台灣淺灘周圍海域高解析度衛星基礎生產力影像資料,研究湧昇區、非湧昇區與鋒面區基礎生產力時空變化及季節變動特性之差異,並結合漁業與生物資料探討基礎生產力與魚類資源結構、空間分布與漁獲量間之關係。(3) 透過解析研究海域生態系中營養位階之組成與變動,估算台灣淺灘周圍海域之基礎生產力需求量時空間變動,並利用時序列分析法解析氣候變遷對湧昇區、非湧昇區與鋒面區海域的環境包容力與生態系統營養位階變動之衝擊。" Previous oceanographic studies clearly indicated the importance of upwelling and biological resources in the Taiwan Bank ecosystem and a strong seasonal variations of oceanographic condition in this region. The influence of the climate changes on the upwelling variations and the current system around the waters of Taiwan Bank depend on the long-term and regular observation data. To investigate the composition and biomass of the marine life associated with primary production constrains fisheries would help to analysis the marine environments and ecosystems possibly influenced by the climate change index. These climate change indices could have profound impacts on the marine phenomena that are important to biology, ecology and dynamic carbon transformation in the waters around Taiwan Bank. There are three research purposes as below:(1) The Vertically Generalized Production Model were used to estimate the daily high-resolution (1.1 km spatial grid) primary productivity. The model results were then compared with the in-situ and 9km spatial grid primary productivity data download from NASA Ocean Productivity in the study area.(2) To investigate the abundance and spatial distribution of primary productivity on the upwelling, non-upwelling and oceanic front regions based on the high-resolution data and analyze the relationship between the primary productivity and community structure of fishery resources.(3) To analyze the composition and variation of nutrient levels in marine ecosystems, and to estimate the spatial and temporal variations of the primary productivity required in the waters around Taiwan Bank. Time-series analysis is also used to analyze the effects of climate change on primary productivity and nutrient levels in marine ecosystems on the upwelling, non-upwelling and oceanic front regions.
