過去有關印度洋劍旗魚資源評估的研究多是以CPUE之變動趨勢來進行分析，雖然近年來有利用剩餘生產量模式進行印度洋劍旗魚資源評估之相關研究。然而劍旗魚之成長與性成熟在雌雄間具有顯著差異，但過去的相關研究並未考慮到年齡及性別因素。因此本計畫之研究將利用"年齡結構模式"進行印度洋海域劍旗魚之資源評估。在台灣南方黑鮪之CPUE標準化方面，本計畫將根據2006年CCSBT資源評估工作小組之建議，進行1990以後之CPUE標準化，並進一步分析核心漁區及漁季之CPUE。此外，本計畫也將以商業性漁業之漁獲資料與海上觀察員記錄之漁獲資料進行台灣於印度洋海域捕獲帶鰆之漁獲情形初步分析。 In the past, the population status of swordfish in the Indian Ocean was evaluated based on the trends of CPUEs and the surplus production models have been also adopted in recent years. However, swordfish are sexually dimorphic and previous assessments have ignored this. Thus an age-structured assessment model will applied to evaluate the stock of swordfish in the Indian Ocean. Based on the suggestions proposed by the Stock Assessment Group of CCSBT, the CPUE of southern bluefine tuna caught by Taiwanese longline fishery will be standardized for the time series after 1990 and will be analyzed for the core area and core season. Besides, the catch of oilfish caught by Taiwanese fishery operating in the Indian Ocean will be analyzed preliminarily based on the data of commercial fishery and the data recorded by observers.
