以我國在熱帶太平洋作業之圍網及鮪釣作業紀錄，配合累積之不同尺度的海洋環境監測資料，解析正鰹、黃鰭鮪及大目鮪等鮪類之海洋學特性。預期可完成以下目標 (1) 熱帶太平洋海域鮪漁場環境資料庫建立。 (2) 了解熱帶太平洋圍網與鮪釣目標魚種之短中長期漁海況變動特性。 (3) 支援鮪資源評估工作之鮪魚海洋學領域。 (4) 培養鮪魚海洋學分析、研究與應用之人才。This project study the oceanography charateristics of skipjack, yellowfin and bigeye tunas by analyzing logbooks collected from fisheries in TPO as well as associated environmental data of the regions. The goals of the project are as follow: (1) to establish an environmental database of tuna fishing ground in TPO; (2) to understand the fluctuation characteristics of fishing condition of tuna fisheries in TPO; (3) to support stock assessment in oceanography aspect; (4) to train man power on the field of tuna oceanography.
