Description

Abstract
In this study we intend to study the oceanographic characteristics of Atlantic tunas through analyzing the historical catch data. One of the four candidate stocks, Northern albacore, Southern albacore, yellowfin and bigeye tuna stocks, will be selected as target stock. Related catch and effort data collected for the target tuna fishery and its associated environmental data will be collected and made available for the study. The goal of the study is to understand the relationship between the target fishery/stock conditions and oceanic condition in order to support stock assessment task regarding oceanography aspect.
