Description

Abstract
The artificial vegetation floating island (AVFI) is one of the ecological methods of imitating floating grass and plant islands. It has the characteristics of purifying water quality, reducing flow and waves, gathering organisms, and maintaining natural landscapes. Most of the research for AVFI focuses on the ecological environment fields such as water purification and bio-aggregation, and there are few complete studies on wave attenuation. In this study, a systematic two-dimensional experimental research is intended to wave attenuation of artificial vegetation floating islands, in order to understand the influence of wave damping effects under different types of artificial vegetation floating islands, the optimal parameters, and the scope of application. The research will analyze the key influencing factors of artificial vegetation floating islands on wave damping, such as the submerged depth, permeability, softness and spatial coverage in the matrix medium, root density and root diameter in the root zone, and the wave conditions. Based on the analysis results of experimental research, the theoretical model and estimation formula of wave damping system suitable for present study will be discussed and established. Two types of artificial vegetation floating islands (dry and wet types) are studied in two years, respectively. The research will further understand the damping effects of wave interacting with artificial vegetation floating islands, and the suggestion of the appropriate feature parameters of artificial vegetation floating islands on the best wave attenuation. The results will provide references for marine environmental protection and ecological engineering. 人工植生浮島為模仿浮動草毯及植物浮島之生態工法,具淨化水質、減流、抗浪、聚群生物、維護自然景觀等特性。大部分研究著重在水質淨化與生物群聚等生態環境領域,關於波衰減的完整研究則很少。本計畫擬針對整體固定不動之消波型人工植生浮島之波減衰效應進行系統性二維斷面試驗研究,以瞭解波浪受到不同類型人工植生浮島波阻尼效應影響下對波浪減衰之影響,研討人工植生浮島最適波減衰效應的影響參數與適用範圍。研究將分析人工植生浮島之沉水深度、滲透性、柔軟性、空間覆蓋、水下根系區之根密度、根直徑等效應以及波浪條件改變的情形下,對波浪減衰的影響。並藉由試驗研究分析結果,研討與建立適合應用於人工植生浮島系統波浪減衰作用之理論模式與波阻尼係數估算式。計畫將針對乾式與濕式兩種類型的人工植生浮島分別以兩年的時間進行試驗分析研究,本年度為第一年計畫。研究成果將可進一步瞭解波浪通過人工植生浮島互相作用對波浪減衰影響,以及減緩水岸侵蝕之最適波減衰效應的人工植生浮島特性參數建議,提供海洋環境保護及生態工程設計之參考。
