本計畫之研究目的為開發一個高效率與高準確性的數值波浪水槽，用以研究浮體式離岸風力發電裝置設計時，所需要的非線性波浪、海流與海上浮式平台之流固耦合問題。此研究計畫完成之後，我們可提供一個準確的電腦模擬模式，協助開發浮體式離岸風力發電裝置，將對於本國社會與經濟產生高度正面影響。我們將能掌握開發綠色能源之部分關鍵研究技術，可用於開發本國之離岸風力發電裝置，也能與國際社會合作開發不同的綠色能源，可藉此提高我國的國際地位。另外，本研究採用的局部型基本解法是最新提出之無網格法，其延伸應用研究與波浪水槽研究皆會產生重要的學術發展影響，可強化我國在國際間無網格法與計算力學領域之學術重要性。
