1.社會面向本研究結果可瞭解東海陸棚水域劍尖鎖管族群結構，可支援資源養護與漁業管理措施基礎資訊，降低氣候變遷影響風險，預期可降低漁民紛爭，並提供穩定之糧食保障。 2.經濟面向本研究結果可瞭解東海陸棚水域劍尖鎖管族群結構，可提供規劃漁業管理措施之基礎資訊，有助於達成資源及漁業永續發展之目標，預期使漁民獲利(收益)穩定(我國2020年鎖管類總漁產量約4,900噸，產值約新臺幣10億2仟萬元)。 3.學術發展面向本研究探察東海陸棚劍尖鎖管之族群結構及生活史策略，除有助於瞭解西北太平洋水域劍尖鎖管之族群結構及連通性，亦可提供規劃資源養護與管理措施之參考資訊。
