The Department of Finance and Banking was established in August 1992. In August 2006, the Department of Finance and Banking and the Department of Risk Management and Insurance jointly established the the Graduate Institute of Finance and Insurance. In the academic year 2010-2011, the Graduate Institute of Finance and Insurance was renamed as the Master's program of the Department of Finance and Banking.
