摘要: The Industrial Wireless Sensor Networks (IWSN) is an important part of Industry 4.0. Most IWSNs constructed for surveillance applications has a linear topology. However, existing carrier-based sensor deployment work only deals with linear topology in which a backbone and some non-return branches are exist. None of existing works deals with the problem with return branches. In this paper, we study the carrier-based sensor deployment problem with linear topology in which a backbone and some return/non-return branches are existed. The objective of this paper is to plan a shorter deployment path for the mobile robot based on its carrying capacity to solve the carrier-based sensor deployment problem. With a shorter deployment path, the mobile robot can accomplish the sensors deployment task within a shorter time and therefore reduce the delay time. In performance evaluation, we evaluate the proposed algorithm in terms of the length of the deployment path required with varied carrying capacity, varied sensing radius, varied total lengths of branches and varied number of branches. 摘要: Purpose - Outsourcing by corporations is increasing the demand for complex services (such as customization) from third-party logistics providers (3PLs). Effective integration between 3PLs and their customers, known as the external integration of 3PLs, not only allows 3PLs to respond rapidly to shippers' needs but also to increase customer satisfaction and the effective allocation of resources while increasing operational efficiency (such as by proposing comprehensive plans for future logistics services to meet shippers' demands). The purpose of this paper is to investigate the causal relationships among the external integration capabilities, cost advantages, and the financial performance of 3PLs. Design/methodology/approach - A survey of 3PLs in Taiwan and China was performed. The research model was tested using a structural equation modeling technique along with the partial least square (PLS-SEM/PLS) approach. Findings - The results herein demonstrated a positive relationship between 3PLs' external integration capabilities and resource efficiency. The results also suggested that cost competitiveness positively affected the financial performance of 3PLs. Although the external integration capabilities of 3PLs were not found to directly affect their financial performance, the results in this study indicated that external integration capabilities enable a firm to improve financial performance by capturing cost advantages. Originality/value - This study provides useful information about the effects of external integration capabilities on the financial performance of 3PLs in a bi-regional context. 摘要: The Taiwanese population of disabled and elderly has grown considerably in recent years. The government has accordingly actively improved public transportation services to meet the growing demands of the elderly and the disabled. However, there is very limited knowledge on the essential service attributes that the disabled/elderly expect and desire. The purposes of this study are to investigate the services desired by the disabled/elderly and to classify the service attributes of rehab buses. The investigator created the questionnaire to collect the subjective assessment from the voluntary respondents in northern Taiwan. The questionnaire has two parts, the socioeconomic information of the respondents and their assessment of service requirement. There were 149 valid samples collected. This study adopted Kano two-dimensional quality model to investigate the users' needs on twenty service attributes of rehab buses. The results indicated that 1) ease of reserving a ride, 2) compliance with safety regulation, 3) punctual pickup, 4) attentiveness and promptness of bus drivers were the most desired attributes. The least desired attribute was ridesharing arrangement, which, however, did not affect the satisfaction of the disabled/elderly respondent's with the service. It implies that the disabled/elderly did not resist sharing a ride with others. Ridesharing appears to be an effective measure to alleviate the problem of current supply of rehab buses. 摘要: Since the U.S. National Science and Technology Council began implementing its plans for the development of intelligent structures in 2004, the Taiwan Communications Industry Alliance has been committed to applying communication and monitoring technologies in the construction industry to develop a market for intelligent houses. Accordingly, in this paper, relevant studies from January 2000 to December 2016 were collected from the Web of Science database. A key-route main path analysis of the text and data as well as a growth analysis of the research clusters in this field were performed to determine the main research topics and development trajectories. The development track for intelligent houses involves seven topics, namely general care, application of recognition sensors, energy management, medicine, application of the Internet of things, activity recognition systems, and monitoring technology.
