| dc.description.abstract | With a long history in aquaculture, Taiwan has lead developments in Asia. Its prosperous stage (1963-1987) was when artificial propagation and mass larval production was introduced and intensive culture system was practiced. The transition stage (1988-present) was characterized by the collapse of the industry due to diseases and other related problems. This is now followed by developments of new technologies for a sustainable industry. | en_US |
