Selection of Penaeus semisulcatus broodstock：a morphometric study

Abstract

本篇報導自1985年6月15日由巴拿馬引進白蝦苗至1988年9月23日育成第3子代之結果，摘要如下：培育至第3子代，在成長方面尚無不良情形，後期幼蟲算起之日齡(PLD)667天，平均體重38 g，在3月間可自然成熟，產卵。第1子代及第2子代育成種蝦體型後經單眼柄切除所催熟之產卵數無甚大差異，前者平均每尾每次產卵46×10^(3)，後者爲45×10^(3)。最高產卵數120×10^(3)，產卵囘數2～4次，其中1尾第2子代，PLD 423時（1988，5，28）開始產卵，至1988，9，23已產6次。用人工配合飼料培育之種蝦，自然交尾成功率15.8％，精莢移植成功率25％，兩者孵化率大略相同，皆非常低，此與精莢中所含之精子大多爲短尾者可能有關。 Penaeus vannamei has been cultured to the third generation(G3)inreinforced concrete ponds since 1986.The shrimps of first generation(G1)were introduced from Panama on 15,June,1985.Up to G3,the shrimp growsnormally.G1 matured and spawned spontaneously,when they grew to 3.8 gin body weight,667 days after post larva.The eggs spawned from unilateral-eyestalk-ablation adult females of G1 and G2 were almost the same.Theaverage eggs per female was 46,000 and 45,000 from G1 and G2 respectively,with a maximum of 120,000.In general,one female can spawn 2-4 times andone of G2 females have spawned 6 times since 28,May,1988.Because most ofspermatozoa in the spermatophores were abnormal,the hatching rate wasfound very low in both natural copulation and artificial insemination ofspermatophore transplantation.
