The purpose of this department is to provide specialists in the areas of food research and development, food inspection, and food logistics & marketing. To achieve this purpose, the department assists students in obtaining certificates, such as the following: Level B, C Technician for Food Inspection & Analysis; Level B, C Technician for Chemistry; Level B, C Technician for Chinese Culinary;Level C Technician for Processing Chinese Noodles;Level C Technician for Processing Chinese Rice;Level C Technician for Baking Food. The department is equipped with an aquaculture inspection laboratory and high-quality teaching equipment. The course content includes aquaculture-related knowledge and technique, the skills of quality control and inspection. We are now HACCP certified and as such, we provide an examination place for the food inspection technician test in northern Taiwan.
