"以往一些 SH 波散射問題正確解之研究，大都皆假定入射波源為平面波，而反平面線波源較少。關於平面波入射半圓形山谷、半圓形沖積山谷及半橢圓形山谷的SH 波散射問題，已經分別由Trifunac (1973)、Trifunac (1971)及Wong & Trifunac (1974)推導出正確解，而這些正確解通常是許多研究者作為比對答案的標準。另外，Gao & Zhang (2013)亦將Tsaur & Chang (2008a)及Tsaur et al. (2010)的反平面波源改為反平面線波源，重新求解半平面V 形山谷的SH 波散射問題，以探討場域近波源的影響，得到不同反平面線波源位置對地表反應的影響。Liu et al. (2008)則是將得到的反平面線波源的解，作為格林函數，去求解半平面上有半圓形山谷且地表下有一有限長裂縫的SH 波散射問題。但是，反平面線波源作用的半橢圓形山谷SH 波散射問題的正確解，以本人所知，至今尚未被解出過，因此，本年度擬以《反平面線波源作用下半橢圓形山谷SH 波散射問題之研究》為計畫，即是要把這個問題的正確解解出來。本計畫所得到的正確解，是前人所未曾導出過的，而我們所得到的計算結果，則可作為其他數值方法驗證的依據，對學術研究發展及相關人才的培育將有所助益。除此之外，對於防減震工程、降低地震災害及減少地震災害造成的經濟損失也會有幫助。" "Previous studies regarding exact solutions to problems of SH-wave scattering primarily assumed that excitation sources were plane waves. In comparison with these works, very rare ones focused on antiplane line sources. Exact solutions to problems of scattering of plane SH waves from a semicircular canyon, a semicircular alluvial valley, or a semielliptical canyon have been derived, respectively, by Trifunac (1973), Trifunac (1971), and Wong & Trifunac (1974). Many researchers commonly take advantage of these exact solutions as benchmarks. Furthermore, Gao & Zhang (2013) revisited the two antiplane scattering problems investigated previously by Tsaur & Chang (2008a) and Tsaur et al. (2010). To explore the near-source effect on ground motions around a V-shaped canyon, Gao & Zhang (2013) replaced the antiplane wave sources with a single antiplane line source. Liu et al. (2008) solved the SH-wave scattering problem involving a half space with a semicircular canyon and a crack of finite length, in which the solution for antiplane line-source incidence was taken as Green’s functions. However, to the author’s knowledge, the exact solution to the problem of wave scattering induced by a semielliptical canyon under antiplane line-source excitations is unavailable so far. Thus, this project is mainly aimed at deriving an exact solution to such a problem. The rigorous solution obtained from this project is unique and gives valuable verification data for various numerical methods. The proposed solution will be beneficial to personnel training and the development of academic researches. The results presented can serve as a useful reference to pertinent investigations in earthquake resistance and reduction of engineering structures."
