This study collected biological and economic data through of questionnaires from the production process of Taiwan's abalone culture industry and used the principles of economics and multivariate statistics to analyze the key for the profits of Taiwan's abalone industry. The results showed that the stocking density, production scale, and culture mode influenced the inputs and outputs of the abalone industry. Large-scale polyculture of Haliotis diversicolor supertexta and Haliotis discus hannai had the best profitability. Therefore, farmers who only culture Haliotis diversicolor supertexta are suggested to use polyculture model and moderately increase the stocking density to increase the economic benefit of cultures. |
