The fluid motion is described by the linear wave theory. The poro-elastic bed is modeled based on the Biot theory. Governing equations of poro-elastic bed are derived as sixth-order differential equation for the fluid pressure. Interfacial boundary conditions used at sea bed surface are dynamic pressure and kinematic velocity continuity. In the solution procedure, the fluid motion and the seabed response are assumed to be periodic. General solution forms for the wave motion and the poro-elastic bed are derived. The present analytic solutions compare favorably well with experimental results by Yamamoto et al.. In this paper, effects of the depth of seabed on the pore pressure and variation of propagating wave length, are studied. |
