dc.description.abstract | 不管是理工、商管或人文教育科系,都避免不了數理的計算課程,例如統計學、微積分、線性代數等。這些課程大都被學生認為生硬枯燥及學習困難,常選擇逃避或放棄,難以激發學習興趣,學習效果不佳。本計畫導入密室逃脫遊戲(room-escape game)遊戲教學的概念於大學數理計算課程的教學上,設計一套以密室逃脫為基礎的教學遊戲。將課程按照主題關聯性進行安排,適切地將數理計算課程內容主題與解謎遊戲結合,讓學生在學習一段的數理計算原理知識與計算操作之後,能透過分組的團體合作進行解謎破關,一步步破關逃脫,最終完成預定的學習目標。
課程中計畫運用手機或電腦等智慧教學之工具與數位教學平台進行解謎問答活動,增進課堂討論互動。透過遊戲過程激發學習興趣,以改善學習成效。遊戲教學過程以考試測驗以及問卷方式實施教學評量調查。透過期末教學問卷調查,學生在學習意願的提高及學習成效的幫助方面,均有超過6成持「同意」以上的正面看法。針對特定主題內容的調查,其中對「反矩陣加解密」的主題印象最深,有超過7成覺得對內容理解有成效。在此基礎上,可發展成教學模版,逐步推廣至類似教學課程之中改善學習成效。
In the field of engineering, science, business management, social science, or education, mathematics-related courses, such as statistics, calculus, and linear algebra, are inevitable for studying. However, those courses have been considered boring and challenging to learn. This project introduces a popular room-escape game into the teaching of mathematics-related courses at an undergraduate level, integrating main topics into game-based learning. Students can practice the mathematics knowledge they learn in the proposed class and reach predetermined teaching goals through cooperatively discovering clues, solving puzzles, and accomplishing tasks.
The project uses several smart teaching tools, mobile devices (e.g., mobile phones, laptops), and interactive course systems to perform the game teaching process aforementioned. Interesting game teaching can stimulate students’ learning motivation and improve their learning performance. Exams and online surveys perform the class evaluation. The survey results show that more than 60% of students have positive comments on the effect of this game learning on learning interests and performance. Among the subjects in this class, the topic “Inverse Matrices for Data Encryption” is most helpful in learning performance. Based on the excellent performance of this game teaching, it may be developed for teaching in similar courses in other universities in the future. | en_US |
