To meet the needs of COVID-19 epidemic prevention, this project used live streaming and social networking services to create a blended learning environment. Teachers and students were able to access a variety of online learning resources without interrupting the teaching activities of the Introduction to Programming Lab course. Google Meet and LINE provide innovative live streaming and social networking services to complement the Introduction to Programming Lab classroom activities. Google Meet provides a live streaming feature where students can send text while watching, facilitating real-time interaction between teachers and students. LINE's social networking service allows teachers and students to engage in online and offline community discussions, and students can take advantage of LINE to share and discuss programming assignments with their teachers or classmates. Therefore, this project investigates the impact of using a blended learning environment on students' learning perceptions and learning outcomes in the Introduction to Programming Lab course. We used data analysis and questionnaires. In terms of learning perceptions, we found that the blended learning environment could stimulate some students' interest in learning and increase their confidence in the learning process. In terms of learning outcomes, we found that the blended learning environment was effective in improving students' learning effectiveness. In addition, we also found that the blended learning environment of online and offline will be two different channels for students to choose and use, which can reduce the psychological burden of students when problems occur, and can also take better care of all students. |
