Sinotech Engineering Consultants Inc was established in 1970 as part of a government effort to modernize Taiwan. It built a team of talented engineers capable of undertaking large-scale infrastructure projects and gradually expanded operations overseas with resounding success. In 1994, Sinotech Inc was restructured as a non-profit organization that focuses on research and development, while Sinotech Engineering Consultants Ltd was founded to continue the consulting business. Sinotech Ltd worked primarily on hydroelectric and water resources projects before expanding into highways, airports, railways and ports. More recent undertakings include mass rapid transit, science and industrial parks, high-speed rail, high-tech production plants, incinerators, and nuclear decommissioning. For more than forty years, the Sinotech Group has enjoyed a reputation for integrity, quality, excellence, and innovation. A firm grasp of major engineering trends has allowed Sinotech to apply cutting-edge technology in projects and play a pivotal role in leading Taiwan's modernization. With know-how, leadership and a long-term vision for sustainable development, Sinotech upholds a lasting responsibility to serve clients and to improve human wellbeing. Growth The drive for excellence has rewarded Sinotech with steady growth. In 1993, Sinotech Engineering Consultants Ltd began founding subsidiaries to expand its scope of professional services: Sinotech Environmental Technology Ltd, Hwashin Architects and Associates, Sinotech Engineering Services Ltd, Sinotech Construction Corporation Ltd, and Sinotech Land Development Co Ltd. This gradual expansion strategy has strengthened both domestic and international competitiveness. Average annual revenue from 2006 to 2016 surpassed US$100 million. In 1973, Sinotech began exporting its services and has since completed more than 200 projects in Vietnam, the Philippines, Indonesia, the Dominican Republic, Saudi Arabia, and other locations across the globe. Advancing this trend, Sinotech opened offices in Fujian Province and Macau in mainland China, as well as in Brunei, Myanmar and Indonesia. An international presence facilitates direct access to clients and, more importantly, puts Sinotech in a key position to understand local project requirements and make timely decisions. International cooperation is an area in which Sinotech continues to grow. The latest example is the Danjiang Bridge project, a joint collaboration between Sinotech, leading architectural firm Zaha Hadid Architects of the United Kingdom, and renowned engineering consultancy Leonhardt, Andrä und Partner of Germany. Collaboration enables Sinotech and its partners to share knowledge, learn from one another, and deliver optimal engineering solutions to clients.
