"本研究旨在藉由佛教哲學的觀點，探究「生態自我」這個概念，並思考它在教育上的意涵，當前地球面臨許多生態問題，都是由於人類對環境的破壞所造成，在鼓勵物慾的經濟發展之下，我們需要建立一種與自然更加和諧共處的生活方式，才能確保人類的永續生存；此外，對於「生態自我」的探究，其背後動機也是要藉此思考我是誰？我為何生活在世界上？以及生命的意義為何？等一些與個人存有相關的問題。本研究主要目的有三： 1. 蒐集當前關於「生態自我」這個概念的相關論述，並分析其內容與哲學立場 2. 從佛法中的「生態」與「自我」觀點，試著發展「生態自我」這個概念的內涵 3. 藉由上述研究結果，思考「生態自我」在教育上的意涵，以及個人發展與自我實現等問題在研究方法上，主要為哲學思考與探究，包含文獻整理、分析與比較，最後建構研究者自身對於「生態自我」的主張，並提出「生態自我」對於教育與生態教育的啟示。""This research discusses the concept of ecological self based on Buddhist philosophy, and considers its implication on education. We face various ecological crises nowadays, caused by human violence to environment. Under the consideration of economic improvement, human desire prevails over environmental protection. Constructing a more harmonious relationship with nature is required for ensuring human sustainable living. Furthermore, the exploration of ecological self is motivated by answering several core questions of human living, such as: ‘Who am I?’ ‘Why do I live in this world?’ and ‘What is the meaning of life?’ Three aims are included in this research. First, theories of ecological self will be collected and analyzed. Second, the significance of ecological self will be explored based on Buddhist philosophy, especially focusing on the idea of ecology and the self. Third, implication of ecological self on education will be developed. Issues on self-development and self-realization will also be discussed. The research method of this study is mainly philosophical exploration. Its consequence is expected to inspire educational practices."
