Description

Abstract
"觀賞水族貿易市場對多種類之海龍科物種具明顯偏好與消費量值,特別是別具色彩、型態與特殊生態與繁殖行為之海龍亞科及海馬亞科。在過去5年間,多種類之淡水、半淡鹹水與海洋/珊瑚礁棲性海龍科物種被頻繁交易、運輸與飼養,但悉數個體皆來自野生採捕,僅少數個體檢附相關認證進行貿易流通。本研究藉由發展基礎生理參數、營養需求、餌料生物培養、幼生培育與標準生產程序之研究調查與相關技術應用,以期獲得提升繁養殖培育海龍科物種之新穎技術。" "Various species of freshwater, brackish water and marine/coral reef ornamental sea dragon and seahorse trade is a growing multimillion dollar industry today. Over the past five years, many freshwater, brackish and marine Syngnathidae have been growing in popularity in the aquarium industry and transportation frequently, especially the sub-family Syngnathinae and Hippocampinae (genus <I>Hippocampus</I>). This study evaluated the basic physiological factors, nutrition requirements, live food production, larval hatching/nursing, and standard operation procedures of the popular aquarium species (Syngnathidae). And try to develop the maintain and captive circulation system for propagation. We hope can make the novel techniques to enhance the quality and quantity of the captive bred Syngnathidae."
