Description

Abstract
"九孔孵化池施以臭氧處理並在附著板上噴上六種不同人工微粒飼料與天然餌料來做比較,觀察附著板上的細菌量和九孔苗的活存與成長;附著板上的人工微粒飼料能被九孔苗攝食,方能確保九孔苗的成長,如果此種人工微粒飼料能為九孔苗接受,並且可以持續成長,則可突破九孔苗的人工飼料的開發,以後並可確保九孔產業的永續經營。" "Haliotis diversicolor aquaculture and hatchery technique emerged in the late 1970s on a very small scale in Taiwan. Now, abalone aquaculture is an economically important gastropod industry in Taiwan. It has not only been successfully developed the breeding of the small abalone, but also elevated the mass production amounts to 2400 Mt annually for the small abalone. However, mass mortality of juvenile abalone occurred five years ago. Attached juvenile abalone fall down from plastic plate after 7 to 14 days attachment. It means that farmer will not have juvenile abalone to culture. The outbreak of Vibrio in the plastic plates causes the mass mortality of small abalone juvenile. We find a suitable way to inhibit the Vibrio levels in the plastic plates by using ozone or protein skimmer to treat the water. However, the ozone treatment also inhibits the natural diatom growth in the plastic plates. The small abalone juvenile faces the lack of food. We need to establish a way to solve the bacteria and food problems for small abalone. The purpose of this study will investigate the effects of microparticulate diets on the survival of small abalone juvenile. There will have two objectives: to develop a suitable microparticulate diets for small abalone juvenile and to observe the effects of microparticulate diets on the survival of small abalone."
