Description

Abstract
"For the global viewpoint, the ornamental and its related market are very huge. In the past, Taiwan has generated more than 120 of ornamental species by its advance breeding and culturing technology in aquaculture. In the future, the ornamental industry at Taiwan will be more expanding by its solid brood and seed production system. In the meantime, to earn its own reputation, Taiwan need to establish its own brand species through high quality and high price of seed production to increase the global share. Transgenic technology is well established in aquaculture industry and the key step is to control the patent of genes. Right now, not many fluorescent gene are patent issued by our own, so the utilization of gene shuffling techniques to create fluorescent gene polymorphism is strong demanding in the future to compete the global ornamental industry."
