Description

Abstract
"網際服務(Web Service)與服務導向架構(Service-Oriented Architecture, SOA)目前已漸趨成熟,而能夠協助客戶端尋找合適網際服務元件之服務探索技術,以及能夠結合多個服務元件、建構加值服務之服務組合技術,都是服務導向運算中最為關鍵之技術。然而,目前學術上之服務探索與服務組合仍無法與真實世界的商務服務銜接,原因在於目前的技術仍無法適當地描述商務服務的深層語意與商務規則,亦無法擷取使用者的實際意圖。此外,一般使用者有混搭服務之需求,但人工混搭程序太過耗時,且服務組合技術對於一般使用者而言太過繁複。因此,本計畫希望能提出一套方法架構,讓服務元件能夠具備語意化的服務屬性與商務規則,同時可依據這些語意描述,提供可吻合實際商務服務所需之服務探索與組合技術。同時,本計畫並將完成一個以使用者導向的語意化混搭引擎,讓使用者透過半自動化(semi-automatic)與可設定組態(configurable)之操作模式自行混搭服務。本計畫預計透過資訊萃取、知識工程、人工智慧、語意網絡等方法開發以下之核心技術: (1) 語意化服務探索技術 (2) 語意化服務組合技術 (3) 語意化服務混搭技術""Service-Oriented Computing has become a main trend in software engineering that exploits both Web services and Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA) as fundamental elements for developing on-demand applications. Service discovery, which can assist clients with locating and selecting appropriate services, and service composition, which can aggregate multiple several services into a composite service with add-on values, are two critical techniques in SOA domain. However, current service discovery and composition mechanisms cannot satisfy business requirements due to lacking of appropriate way to represent and handle business semantics, policy and rules. Besides, mashup is a process that combines information and services from multiple sources on the Web. Currently it is hard to perform mashup because it needs a lot of time-consuming manual tasks. To address above issues, we propose a framework to semantically describe, discover, compose and “mashup” services by applying technology of information retrieval, knowledge representation, artificial intelligence and semantic web. In this project we plan to develop three key mechanisms:  Semantic Web Service Discovery  Semantic Web Service Composition  Semantic Web Service Mashup"
